Lawro predicts, sunderland away
West Ham have been outstanding of late, and their manager Sam Allardyce deserves the plaudits he has been getting.
They have got so many attacking options, and on current form you would expect them to go to the Stadium of Light and win.
But after watching Sunderland a couple of times recently, I fancy them to get a surprise result here.

The Black Cats drew with Liverpool last time out with a really disciplined defensive performance at Anfield.
Sunderland did exactly the same when I watched them against Everton last month - everyone held their positions and did not move out to give Liverpool any space.
It is almost as if Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is trying to instil that kind of solidity into his side before looking to make them more fluid going forward. If that means grinding out a win here, I think he would take it.

Lawro's prediction: 1-0

He surprised me last week by getting the right result, he's usually so reliable at getting it wrong, lets hope it was a one off

Arko: That is superb, it could have easily been the ramblings of that fuckwit.

He really has it in for us.

Leicester are at the bottom of the table, but they lost in very creditable fashion against the champions by only one goal, but they simply don't score goals which is a problem if you want to get away from the bottom of the table. Leicester are a team short of confidence and luck which cannot be said about West Ham who have only lost one in their last ten games.

And they are very strong at home this season.
With their strong squad and options on the bench to mix things up I can only see one result for this:

West Ham 0 : Leicester 1

See, I've already written next week's prediction for Lawro, he can thank me later!

As far as TV pundits go, I do like the thatched headed cunt, even if he always picks us to lose.

I don't see many goals in this one. Maybe 1-0 to us or a no/low score draw.

Andrew Carroll does not like Sunderland being a Geordie - that adds extra to his game and Sakho doesn't know the meaning of taking it easy.

1 - 3 is my prediction with Carroll, Nolan and Sakho scoring our goals. A consolation penalty for them..

Sunderland have actually played better away from home this season so far.

At home inc the Stoke Cup game they've gone

1 win
5 draws
3 defeats

To be honest, I'm more concerned with how our lads will deal with the weather there than Sunderland, the place is 2 jumpers colder than anywhere else.

Expecting a few of our team to be wearing 2 pairs of gloves. If the game was being played 100 miles south we'd have a much higher chance of winning.

May's too early, Monk. October perhaps.

This is a really tricky one to predict with confidence. Sunderland have been very inconsistent, but have got some really good results (draws at Liverpool and home to Chelsea), but get demolished by Man City and fail to score at Leicester.

I don't see them beating us, but can't see them making things easy for us either. Low scoring draw or away win most likely.

fuck Lawro and Merson, we're fucking head and shoulders better than Sunderland even on their best day............A resounding 2-0 win, tight at first, we go 1 up, they push for an equalizer and Sakho hits them on a break...........
